Greetings all,

Due to the excessive heat forecast for June 9th, today is a remote/virtual day for staff and students. Our regular B Week schedule will resume on Thursday.

Stay cool!

Paul Robeson Charter School building will be closed on Monday, May 17th. We have a water main line that needs to be repaired, and this requires the water to the building to be turned off for the day. We hope to have this resolved as quickly as possible, so A Week students can join us for in person classes on Tuesday. We will provide you with an update on Monday afternoon. Students will still have classes on Monday, they will just be virtual.

Good morning PRCS Community. This is a reminder that the school building is closed today due to emergency repairs to our heating system. Students will be have classes virtually. They should log on to their homeroom in Google classroom at 8am and select the Zoom link. Teachers will them give instructions for the daily schedule. Thank you for your understanding with this.

As a school community and as individuals, we are hopeful that the justice and accountability served in yesterday's verdict is a step toward broad and systemic change that will continue to dismantle racist and oppressive practices. George Floyd should be alive today. As a school community we recognize there is still much work to be done. One guilty verdict can hold one person accountable, but we all must be committed to hold systems accountable to the change they need. Some breathed a sigh of relief, but we know there is no relief for some in our community. Paul Robeson Charter School remains committed to actively identifying, rooting out and creating spaces that dismantle racially oppressive and unjust policies and systems in education, school, and our community in pursuit of an equitable, just and free world for all of our students.
