New Student & Parent Orientation

Thank you for signing up for orientation. Please bring your student because scholars will have a chance to meet staff members and get to know the school. In addition, we will be doing a BOY fluency screener that will give us some helpful information regarding their academics.

Tuesday August 2nd Agenda & Thursday August 4th Agenda:

8:30-9:00- Meet and Greet
9:00-10:00 Parent/Guardian Orientation
** At this point students will remain in building and families can come back at 12 for dismissal
10:00-11:00- Fluency Testing
11:00-12:00- School Tour, Overview of School, Team Building
12:00-12:30 Dismissal

Wednesday August 3rd Agenda:

11:30-12pm- Meet and Greet
12pm-1pm Parent/Guardian Orientation
** At this point students will remain in building and families can come back at 3 for dismissal
1pm- 2pm- Fluency Testing
2pm-3pm- School Tour, Overview of School, Team Building
3:00-3:30pm Dismissal

Delayed Start Tomorrow

Due to the predicted inclement weather overnight and into the morning, we are going to have a 2 hour delay for students.  Students should arrive at school between 9:30 – 10:00 and will receive breakfast.  If your child catches the school bus, please be at the stop 2 hours later. Please do not drop off children early, as there may not be adequate supervision. Please continue to monitor our website and communication for updates.  Thank you and be safe!
Debido a las inclemencias del tiempo pronosticadas durante la noche y la mañana, vamos a tener un retraso de 2 horas para los estudiantes. DELAYED START MONDAY 12/15/25

Hello Families,

Due to the possible winter weather and icy road conditions, Paul Robeson Charter School will have a two-hour delayed opening on Monday, December 15.

We apologize for any inconvenience. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.

Students who ride the school bus should be at their stop two hours after their regular time.

Debido al posible clima invernal y a las condiciones de hielo en las carreteras, la escuela autónoma Paul Robeson abrirá el lunes 15 de diciembre con un retraso de dos horas.

Important Update: School Year Calendar and Relocation Timeline

The 2025–2026 school year will begin for all students on Tuesday, September 2nd at our 643 Indiana Ave. address (for ALL students). Please read the full back-to-school letter for important details and view the updated school calendar now available on our website.

📣 SCHOOL CLOSURE – Wednesday, April 16

Good morning families, we will be canceling school for today. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes for families. We are working with the property owner to address bricks that fell from the exterior of our building, and the team needs the full day today to clear bricks.  We will resume with school tomorrow, Thursday, April 17th at our regularly scheduled time.

HIB INFORMATION SESSION

Hello PRCS families! We will have another HIB information session on Thursday, 3/13 via Zoom. This session will give families information regarding NJ’s anti-bullying laws and our school’s policies surrounding anti-bullying. If you attend, you will be entered into a raffle for a $50 Aldi gift card. The winner will be chosen on Friday, 3/14/25. We hope to see you there!
